Christmas at our house
Christmas at our house was short and sweet. The kids were so excited to open their presents and were thrilled with everything. Their favorite gift was the camcorder. They have been filming everything. Today they have spent all day making mini movies for me to watch. Alex has also enjoyed playing the Wii Resort game. David bought me a new camera for Christmas which I am so happy about. I really needed a new one. We had a delicious breakfast of texas toast french toast and bacon. Then it was time to pack the car and head off to Ohio.
My Christmas wish did come true. Although I had to wait until Dec. 30th, David finally shaved!!! I love you honey!!
Christmas in Ohio
On Christmas Day we left for Ohio to visit David's side of the family. The kids were so excited to see their cousins Aaron and Brayson. On Saturday we spent some time with the grandparents and then had a great dinner out. That night David and I attended our first Cousin's Night. It is a tradition in his family that all the cousins get together the day after Christmas. Drinks, games, and fun conversation made it a great night. On Sunday we took the kids, Aaron, and David's dad to see the Akron Zips basketball game. It was a fun game to watch and Lauren still insists she is going to go to school there. She was not enjoying the cold walk on campus and David and I explained to her that it gets a lot colder than our 30 degree day we had. Her smile seemed to fade away at that thought. On Monday we awoke to a couple of inches of snow. The kids had a great time playing in the snow even if the wind chill was 5 degrees. Then we went to our new favorite Amherst restaurant....Hot Dog Heaven. We just love their dogs and fries. It was a great holiday trip!

Christmas at the Beach
This past weekend we spent a few days in Myrtle Beach to visit my sister and her husband. We had a great time enjoying the hotel pool and playing games at Dawn's. The kids really had a great time playing with her two dogs. As you can see in the pictures, the dogs like to climb all over you. They were good dogs, but still have no desire to get one. We also celebrated my dad's 61st birthday.
My mom and dad are going to spend the next few days here with us. I am looking forward to sitting on the couch, eating cookies, and watching movies. I told myself I am going to enjoy this break and put the schoolwork aside for a few days.
On a side note, as you can see in the pictures, David has decided not to shave. I have been begging him to shave for weeks. If anyone agrees with me, please post a comment. Maybe it is not too late for my Christmas wish to come true.
