Busy Times

I know it has been awhile since my last post. Here is a look at what has been going on in the Murillo household. 2 weeks ago, Alex lost a tooth. It is only his third tooth that he lost. He gets very bummed out about that fact. For some reason my children lose their teeth very slowly.

Baseball tryouts were last weekend. Alex did a good job, we are still waiting to hear what team he will be on. Lauren has also started softball practice. We were at the fields Saturday and Sunday. I couldn't even complain being at the fields, the weather was so nice.

As for me, the question should be what am I not doing. Lately, I have been busy with progress reports, gifted rating scales, which is a test that requires me to fill out a 72 questionnaire on each of my 22 students, and my lesson planning. I have also been working on an online course for teacher credit. What has been taking up most of my time is my paint project. I started the Paint the Halls project at our school. I was tired of looking at our bare walls so I took some action. To make a long story short, Home Depot has donated 20 gallons of Behr paint and Susan Winget, the artist, has donated some money for us to purchase brushes. After a few weeks of working with the art teachers on designs, we finally are going to start painting this Friday. I have a big group of teachers who are willing to help make our school a more inviting place to learn. Once the project is finished, I will post pictures.

The good news is, at this moment, there are only 68 more days until summer vacation!!

Melting Pot

Here are some pictures of Alex's birthday at the melting pot. He was so excited that he got a birthday card signed by all the waiters. It was such a great meal!
